This Scales and Arpeggios Printable Resource Pack is designed to help students practice the scales and arpeggios on the ABRSM Grade 2 Violin syllabus - all with the LONG TONIC option.
Originally written as a practice aid for my own violin students, I have found that the combination of the Colour Coded String Fingering and Violin Diagrams have significantly improved my students’ ability to practice scales effectively at home between lessons and their understanding of tones, semi-tones and key signatures. Hopefully others might find these resources useful as well!
These printable PDF resources can also be used alongside the Play-Along Practice Videos for all ABRSM Grade 2 Violin Scales. These videos can be found for free on YouTube @PicknMixStrings OR can be downloaded as part of the Play-Along Resource Pack in the ‘Play-Along Resource Pack’ category in the Pick ‘n’ Mix Strings shop.
Please note that this pack does not include the play-along videos - it is only for the printable PDF sheets!
Included in this resource pack are:
Printable PDF Scale Sheets for all 7 Scales and Arpeggios (C, F, G, A & B♭ Major and G and D Harmonic Minors). This includes scales in both separate bow and slurred versions and each page includes Colour-Coded String Fingering and Violin Finger Diagrams.
