These 3D printed ‘Pinky Holders’ are fantastic for helping to encourage a relaxed and rounded violin bow hold. At the bargain price of £30 for a pack of 10, this offers an affordable solution for any string teachers looking for a violin bow hold aid to help early-stage players.
Please be aware that as these Pinky Holders are made of filament (rather than rubber) they are slightly firmer than the more traditional rubber versions. Thanks to the internal contouring that Dan has developed, they will glide easily onto most violin bows. For the occasional bow that has a slightly more protruding lip between the wood and the tightening screw, they might require a little more wiggling to get into place the first time!
These little pinky holders have been absolute game changers for my teaching recently since Dan started creating them - and we hope that they are useful to other string teachers out there too!
