This ‘Concert Quick Flexi Strings’ arrangement of the iconic South African hymn - Siyahamba - is deliberately written for early level Violin / Viola / Cello / Double Bass Players, to sound good quickly, if you have limited rehearsal time!
All 4 differentiated parts are included for every instrument and will work with any combination of string instruments as either a String Duet, String Trio, String Quartet or full String Orchestra. For this piece there are also optional parts included for: Piano Accompaniment, Voice and Rainbow Bells - which you can add alongside your string players if you want to!
For the string parts, for all instruments:
Part 1 - Suitable for ABRSM Grade 1 or 2 Level.
Part 2 - Suitable for those who have only been playing a short while.
Part 3 - Optional Additional Harmony Part, which can be played by the teacher or slightly more advanced students.
Part 4 - Open String Part, which can be used instead of (or in addition to) Part 2 if required.
You can find Play-Along video versions of all Parts on our YouTube channel @PicknMixStrings for students to practise with at home. These can also be downloaded in the Play-Along Resource Pack for anybody wishing to use them off-line (e.g. for use in a classroom setting).
Optional versions of each string part are also included with Colour Coded STRING FINGERING written in, for any students who may need that little bit of extra support with note reading.
