The Flop Eared Mule - for Advanced Quartet (3 Violins & Cello)
This much loved fiddle tune is arranged here for Advanced Quartet for 3 Violins & Cello. The first half is fairly straightforward, stating the tune in the familiar version, with the more advanced passages coming in the second half of the piece, with lots of folk-style double stopping and melodic interest appearing in all parts. This arrangement would suit string players who are ABRSM Grade 5 or 6+ and beyond. There is enough interest within each part to still be a fun play for all higher level string players (even those far beyond ABRSM Grade 6 level!)

Listen to this arrangement N.B. The first part is a purposefully simple statement of the tune. The trickier, more advanced sections happens from approx 47 seconds onwards!
